Hello Friends,

I have just joined a company as Technical Trainer for Basic Electrical Course. I have to teach the course in 40 hrs duration. Can someone please suggest me what all topics should I cover and what course materials should I use. As I have now experience in teaching this is my first job, I would greatly appreciate any help. Like what all kinds of tests and pop up quiz formats can I use in the class and what topics should I cover.

Thanking you in advance.

What kind of company? What aspects of electricity do they need to know? Will the NEC be part of this? Ohm's law?

I think a little more info is needed.

Welcome to the forum!

Thought you might!

Almost used that today on the job..... :D

I give you my blessing :) .....not that you need it

The follow up (for me, usually) is:

An error on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part.

These are good question, but we will need a little more info to help answer your question.
1. You are an engineer, are your students engineers?
2. How much preparation time do you have before the class starts?
3. What are your skill levels?
4. What about your budget? just books, handouts, maybe a projector or overhead???
5. Do you have to pretest/posttest the students?
6. Do you have to evaluate the students for the company?

Some may come up with other questions, this is a good start.
Good luck, and welcome to teaching!!!
