I have only ever seen this tool once and I have been searching for it since. A guy had a propane torch with the capacity of a weed burner but it had a pistol-grip and a piezo ignitor. It was hand held and could be used much like a plumbers torch, just much bigger. For heating big sections of PVC. It hooking up to a large propane tank.

I am sure some will think this is an improper way to heat. Well that's how it done around here and if you're good at it the pipe does not burn. I'll just get that out of the way now.

Anyone know where I can track the igniter down?

We have a couple of the Hotbend's as well.

They will also rebuild them, if you ever get to the point that you start having issues. We've been very happy with them.

I struggled to spend the money on a hot bend as it seemed over priced. Now that I own one I can't imagine using anything else. It saves so much time and hassle. They work really well.
