Touchplate relay

Hi,

I looked at a 30 yr old house yesterday. Part of an escrow inspection.

It is approx 1500 sq ft.

The lighting was wired with LV touchplate relays.

Half are not working or work intermittently.

Are these available?

What the buyers are looking for is an estimate for electrical repairs.

My first notion is to price out rewireing the switching.
There is attic access to most of the house and I think the roof will be redone which should allow me access to everything.

I guess my question is should I go that route?
The relay system comonents do not seem readily available.

Any reason to try and save it?

It is a perfectly fine system and easy to work on when you learn it.

Parts are also still available.

I agree. They are not hard to work on and are very versatile. No need to remove and replace it unless the new owners don't want it.
