Anybody hooked up these fireplaces with their power vent mounted on the flue pipe as it comes out of the chimney. Directions say use 14/2 tech support's reply is romex is fine, but they have hi temp wire from the blower motor to the side mounted j-box. They have a rain cap that fits over the blower assembly so I would expect these to be a dry location. I just want to see if I might be overlooking some thing on these F/P

Thanks

those conductors are inside of the f/p though, aren't they?

their conductors originate from the power vent fan, this fan sits on top of the flue pipe. The fire place will not ignite unless this fan is running. I guess my concern is the temp where I terminate my connections

it'll be fine. i've always used romex w/ no problems. there are no specifications to use anything else.
