i once saw a board at a union hall that was designed to train apprentices with contactors, motorstarters, and relays.

has anyone ever seen one?

we are thinking of building one for our shop, to help with training and troubleshooting skills. any ideas would be great.

Be very careful about doing live training, OSHA could hang you. I would keep the voltage under 50.

We have an entire wall we built here with a panel, recept., switch, smoke, and light. Panel is an overhead feed and we even have a grounding conductor and built in code violations. We can heat it up if we want to show how the AFCI and GFCI work, but we usually leave it off.

the board i saw was one that would be unplugged when making the connections, and then energized once the connections were made.

like i said before, it was at a jatc training facility. im pretty sure they wouldnt violate osha regs.
