What type of training do you offer to your people? Do you pay for continuing education classes Do you have in house training or off site? Do you offer non electrical courses such as management training?

Not so much as I'm now "retired"

Not so much as I'm now "retired"

per year:

two 1-day seminars from WV IAEI
one 3-day seminar from OH IAEI
sometimes 3-4 day seminar from Western Section IAEI depending on distance.
one evening seminar on why not to dig up a gas line.

I pay for everything, except gas line which is free.

Sometimes other seminars: Life Safety 101, Fire Safety 1 ...

I'm reading an old GE course in power line relaying.
I'd go to more if they weren't so expensive.

we send all our guys to osha 10 our office manager is going to four days of training on our new software our field supervisor is going to a two day management class next month.

I pay for required CE fees and lunch for weekend classes. Not wages those days. Any classes during the week, I pay wages and all other expenses. Office help can usually take what she asks for, which isn't much. OSHA 10 when a class is offered locally. I had not thought of management classes for anyone but that would be a great idea.
