we have a transformer at the company i work for , its a 30 kva 480 primary and 208 secondary . it is wired in reverse, primary is feed with the 208 and the secondary is 480. it is sized with a 100amp at 208v. i told my boss that the most we would be able to get at 480volt would be about 50amps. he seems to think he is able to get a100amps. he is in maintenance. this transformer supplies power for a cold storge box. today i found the 100amp 208 cb is about 75' from the trans and it goes to a box with push buttons and a starter first and when the start pb is turned on it energizes the trans that feeds a the compressor also it has 2 30amp outlets outside. i tryed to tell him it is to much of a load for the trans , but he said its been that way for years and i am wrong . am i
