WHERE CAN I FIND INFORMATION ABOUT THE ELECTRIC PROTECTIONS FOR ELECTRIC SUPPLIES ( UTILITY AND GENERATOR ) FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSFER SWITCH. IS NECCESARY A BREAKER BETWEEN UTILITY SUPPLY AND UTILITY TERMINALS AT TRANSFER SWITCH?
 
Please turn off the ALL CAPS feature. It makes the post more difficult to read. It is also considered impolite, as though you were SHOUTING at us.
 
In short, if your transfer switch is between the utility and the main, it needs to be service entrance rated and will have a main in it. Or, you can put a main between it and the utility and it will not need to be service entrance rated.
