i have an existing meter on front of house, panel is in the rear..We are putting in manual 100a transfer switch, same size as service. do I need a disconnect before the service goes to the panel if the panel already has ocpd? Is the transfer switch able to be used as service disconnecting means to comply with nearest point of entry? And if not, could you point towards a code reference? Thanks for the help

Don't forget 230.91.
What the others said and I might refer you to 230.82. You will note a transfer switch is not one of the items permitted ahead of the service disconnect, so unless the TS is "service rated", it is not allowed ahead of the service switch.
