First, the code book does not discuss calculations related to transformers. That would be a design issue, and is beyond the scope of the NEC. Secondly, Article 220-10 gives you the calculation process for Feeders and Services. It includes demand factors for a variety of loads, but these only apply to dwelling units. There are separate methods for schools and for farms, and later articles give demand factors for such things as RV parks and marinas. For commercial services, you use the same process, but you don?t get to apply and demand factors.
