transformer diagrams

I thought I used to know this. On a transformer nameplate diagram, on the delta symbol, they have a dashed line going from H1 (bottom left corner) towards the center. What is that identifying/signifying? I tried looking it up again and could find it nowhere.

I just finished my second cup of coffee but that's not helping either.

And I left my hat and gloves in someone else's car this past weekend so they're 220 miles east of me now too.

Anyway, let me know and I'll write it down someplace I can remember (I hope).

It's the transformers phase reference angle (θ = 0?) and always points toward the connection. The secondary diagram should also have one. The phase shift, primary to secondary, is the angular difference measured clockwise.

Perhaps you would have remembered if you had your hat and gloves :D
