Hello Everyone

I am trying to spec out a 45KVA transformer for classified Area. It will be mounted outdoors. As per NEC 450.22 dry type transformer's installed outdoors shall have weatherproof enclosure. Now I did manage to find out 45KVA square D transformer with an option for weatherproof enclosure.
But the catalog I used does not mention the "temperature rating" or "T-rating" for that transformer. since I am in a classified area the temperature rating is very crucial. The transformer is UL rated with degree C temp. rise of 115 and insulation class 220.
will this transformer work? please advise.
If there are options other than square D then please let me know.

Thanks

You are aware there is a Hazardous (Classified) Locations forum here, right?

You spent a great deal of time in Article 430, did you check Articles 500 and 501? While you mentioned you were in a classified location and concerned about T-class, you didn't say what Class, Division or Group you are in; that's relevant too.

I'll give you a hint about the Sections you need to read: 500.8, especially 500.8(C), and 501.100.
NOTE: Always read Section 500.8(C) in context of the entire Section.
