What is the max height a 45kva transformer can be mounted in the ceiling with out having to build a working platform?

The print spec was to mount transformer in attic and secondary fused switch to be within 10' of the Trans. I can mount my switch on the wall below the trans at max height and my Trans at 9'6" and still get my 10' max wire length but, would I still need a working platform for the service of transformer?

I'm a little cornfused on this one

Re: transformer in attic space

A ladder would be sufficient for the "work surface" of the transformer mounted above floor access.

Next time you travel to a mall, take a look at some of the transformer locations, they are many feet above the floor.

"450.13(A)Open Installations.
Dry-type transformers 600 volts, nominal, or less, located in the open on walls, columns, or structures, shall not be required to be readily accessible."
