Let me first apologizes I am sure the answer to my question is located in the NEC however I cant for the life of me find my code book. Can someone tell me it is acceptable to install a 5Kva Transformer 115 deg C rise Rainproof enclosure type 3R on a wall in an attic away from any insulation? My main concern is that the attic reaches temperatures of 120 Deg F in the summer is this location too hot for the transformer? There attic does have a vent and is tall enough for a person to walk around so the transformer will have a good amount of room around it.
