Those lugs where the wire terminates don't come with the xfrmr, correct? Could you also have
crimoed lugs instead? Thx

I kind of prefer crimped lugs. I think they are more secure.

However, I often have to supply lugs for field wiring. It is hard to tell what size wire will be used, or even whether it will be copper or aluminum, so a mechanical lug makes more sense.

I broke a rib on one of those big crimpers. I was up a ladder holding the wire and the connector in the jaws with my hands using the wall to push one handle and my rib cage to push the other one. My rib cage was the weak link.
