Transformer Mounted OCPD?

Does anyone know of any prohibitions against mounting single fuse/breaker boxes to transformer enclosures?

I would like to attach the NFPA 40, Table 450.3(B) protection directly to NEMA 3/4 enclosed transformers to enable the electricians to only have to hook up service feed and skid load to the transformer-attached input- and output- fuse/breaker boxes. (Not have to get inside the transformer.)

I'm not aware of anything disallowing a configuration like this, but... there are so many 'gotchas' in the code...

How would you do your grounding electrode system?

I am guessing everything will still comply with 590 for temporary installations.

Looks like every transformer I've seen hanging in a Home Depot is wired with at least one disconnect switch mounted to the side. As long as the transformer access or cooling is not blocked there is no issue with doing it that way.
