Transformer Selection

I have a customer who has the following loads: 120v,1ph(receptacles);220v,1ph(motors);and 480,3ph(motors).

I had plan on a typical 480-208/120v transformer but I believe the 220volt equipment will run slow and inefficient.

Your thoughts please.

Dan, as long as the 230v motor will run on 208, your idea is fine. If you size everything properly, the equipment will perform as if it was powered straight from the utility.

Do you need 208Y? Can't use 120/240 single phase?
