Working on a project where the facility currently has a single ended substation the goal is to create a sparing arrangement for redundancy / reliability. They have three other identical transformer sizes in the building that are currently not in use and previously removed from other areas of the building being stored in this space. The goal is to reuse one of the stored transformers, the recommendation is to have a third party testing company (NETA) perform some transformer test to make sure there is no insulation damage, etc. The transformers are a combination of VPI and cast coil type. Is there anywhere I can find the test available for these types of transformers to recommend prior to installing and energizing them? Thanks.

IF they have been in storage and are being put back into use I would recommend using the acceptance test specs, not just the maintenence testing spec.
