Transformer Vector Group

Dear Sir,

Why is it that almost all industrial step-down power transformers belong to the Dyn 11 Vector Group (atleast in this part - India - of the world)? Is there aspecific reason?

This is the standard arrangement for transformers in North America which are based on the ANSI C37 standard (American National Standards Institute).
