What was the main issue with delta delta connections, even when they had a grounded B phase?

Also what is the reall advantage to additive polarity on delta delta connetions?

Delta-Delta gave no ground. Additive: zero angle displacement from line to load. Subtractive: 180 degree angle displacement from line to load

add: Higher insulation stress for delta vs wye because of the higher maximum voltage to ground. Delta-wye blocks 3rd harmonics.
