Hi at all,

Please, I need two or three names of Transformers Manufactures for USA, because I dont know none in this country. I am spanish and I am making a university project and I dont know some manufacturers.
Other question is what kind of conductors are used to hotel installation?. For example in garages, in technical places, rooms and other sites like entrance, halls,.... I know that in NEC is showned diferent types of conductors, but What are more used in practice?.
Thanks in advance.

ok, sorry, I am looking for a transformer to be installed in a technical room in a basement of a hotel. For this reason I think that this transformer must be dry type, but I dont know manufacturers in USA. The power of this transformer must be 1250 KVAs. If there are specific rules about this type of installation, please, give me the name of this.
Thanks in advance.

What type of transfoemer? Are you looking for a small dry type, 500MVA oil filled, cast coil, custom job?

Your best bet is GE or Square D, however if the basement is damp you may want to consider a cast coil style, costs a little more but will last much longer in a dirty damp environment and they are maintenence free. Here is a link to a custome cast coil transformer builder in the US http://www.cbspowerproducts.com/castcoiltransformers.htm

You will also need to know primary and secondary voltages and winding configurations and the type of NEMA enclosure you require.

I am not a big code guy so someone else will have to help you with the installation rules, however you will need to hire someone licensed to do this install, no DIY advice here.

Thanks for your help, I will take a look to this web.
