Trash chute Exhaust Fan

I was wondering if there is any interlock between a trash chute exhaust fan and fire alarm. Thank you in advance.

I don't know the codes for that, but there ought to be, and possibly a detector of some sort at the top of the chute.

All fans over a certain size require shutdown but a trash chute has spring loaded fire rated doors so it might not need to be shutdown if the CFM's are lower than required for shutdown. Typically the chutes also have sprinkler heads.

The fan size is only 280 cfm, and it is not currently sprinkled.
