tray cable in conduit

Where in the code does it address conduit fill in conduit for tray cable that don't have listings for fill area? I find many contractors simply saying "if it fits,use it".

But watch out for the ben ding radious in the fitting. Virtually no condulet of the same size as the table fill allows provides sufficent bending radius. In other words you may need to upsize the conduit and arrive the sizing by looking at the fitting's available bending space.
