Is thhn allowed in cable trays? Ive always pulled multiconductor tray cable. The customer wants to install single conductors in the tray.I know they have to be at least 1/0 in size but I have never actually noticed the markings on the wire that says it is allowed in cable trays. This may just be my oversight.Thhn is the most common conductor insulation used.

Re: tray cable

In general, 1/C thermoplastic insulated (PVC) conductors like THHN cannot meet the UL flame tests necessary to be recognized "for CT use."
