I am not sure I was totally clear. I have one tray cable, like an SO cord, that has 7 conductors. Blk, R, B, Br, Or. Y, and R with a blk stripe. Is it up to code to use two circuits out of one 120v panel and one circuit out of another 120v panel in one tray cable (SO cord)? Where would i find that int he code book?I don't think that there is anything to prohibit that, but the cable will have to contain EGCs from each panel.
There is only one EGC in the 7 conductor tray cable - 3 hots, 3 neuts; one EGC. Can you use one j box for two or more panels, if they are the same voltage?I don't think that there is anything to prohibit that, but the cable will have to contain EGCs from each panel.
There is nothing in the code that prohibits conductors from multiple panels being in the same cable. raceway, or junction box, and they can be of different voltages as long as the insulation on all of the conductors is rated for the highest voltage in the cable, raceway or enclosure. There is only one EGC in the 7 conductor tray cable - 3 hots, 3 neuts; one EGC.
