Tripod grounding rod - driven location

Does the code requires to drive grounding rod at a specific location?

i.e.: under main service entrance elecical room, inside foundation of building, outside foundation of building? Any recommendations guys? Thanks!
 
No. The code is rather silent on the specific location that ground rods must or should be placed. See 250.53(A) and (G) for some key requirements.

Since ground rods service such a minor purpose, I would spend too much time worrying about this...
 
No locations are specified but it must be driven below the permanent moisture level. Of course only where practicable.
