Is the plug used in DCS/FF installations OK for Class I Div II Gp C,D areas. They are used for 24 VDC, 4 to 20 ma instrument transmitters in our DCS control systems in a refinery.

There is a variant of this network designed for use in hazardous areas. I am not real familiar with exactly how it is implemented. I think it uses IS barriers so the connector probably does not make much difference.

I've used Turk for few FFB installations in a Class I Division 2 area. I'm confused why you are mentioning 4-20ma wiring with FFB as they are two different things. Can you be more specific, w/model numbers ?

For hazardous area using Turk FFB items you will have to use the correct Device Coupler (junction brick) along with the Lockfast Guards and Closure Caps. You will also have to use the correct power supply.

Please give your local Turk Representative a call as he can help make sure you are using the correct items.

Hey Ade! Good to see you here.

If the circuits are neither intrinsically safe nor non-incendive then they plugs are not suitable for installation in Class I, Division 2 areas.

The AHJ - that maybe the Owner in your case - may elect to use administrative measures to control its use and thus approve its use and stay legal with OSHA. (The insurance underwriter can also be the AHJ.)
