Anyone have a reference or information on testing a TVSS? Would the test be the same as a surge arrestor? I am leary of appling an overpotential test as one would for a surge arrestor.

Wow, 46 views of my question and no reply. Looks like its time for a little experiment in the shop.
Never Tested one before but we have purchased this device to turn over to the owner for his on going maintenance.

I have used the Current Technology DTS-2. We bought one for our shop several years ago and use it to test TVSS devices throughout our 60+ buildings. All the TVSS units I have tested clamped the spike as required, with no problems.
