Twistlock Receptacles

Is there any section in the code that permits and not permitted to use a twistlock receptacles.

I can't think of a section that prohibits the use of a locking receptacle which indicates to me they are permitted. There are sections such as 680.22(A)(1) which requires a locking receptacle, and sections like 410.30(C)(1) which sure makes them usefull.

Do you have a specific installation in question?

Yes, it will be installed in the ceiling of a kitchen with pull chord

Do you mean that a flexible cord with a twist lock connection will be plugged into a compatible receptacle located in the ceiling, and that the receptacle (or whatever is the right name to call it) will be turned on and off with a pull chain? What is the load, and why is this strange arrangement being contemplated?

ACTUALLY IT'S A PULL CORD, THE TWISTLOCK IS AT THE END OF THE CORD. POWER SOURCE IS COMING FROM THE CEILING.

Will this power cord with a twistloc on the end be used to serve an appliance on the countertop? Is it a commercial kitchen or a dwelling?
