For fire pump feeder and service conductor required to have 2-hour fire rate. per 695.6(A)(B) See attached picture.
If I have existing SEB in the basement corridor, I am going to have meter and service switch for fire pump next the SEB.
Per code, I need concrete encased (one of option) the conductor for fire pump.
Question: what about the small piece of conductor inside the equipment? does it need 2 hour fire rate? if yes, how? If no, why? any code section talk about this? Thank you.

I have to believe that if a piece of equipment is required to be installed in a 2 hour protected area, the wiring and such inside is already protected.

In my question, the SEB, METER, FIRE PUMP SERVICE SWITCH are not installed in a 2 hour protected area. it is in corridor.
