Here’s the situation…..Running wires for two outdoor mitsubishi mini split pumps.
#1 is 3 zones. MCA is 31.5a MOCP says 40a
#2 is 2 zones. MCA is 26.9a MOCP says 40a also
The wires will run roughly 20 ft and 24 feet from panel to disconnect boxes. And for reference, we have a preexisting 3/4 grey conduit through the wall outside already and have determined that we can fish two 10/2 wires through.
Question: is 10/2 suitable for both or just the smaller one? Any consideration to be given to two wires heat in one conduit……does the larger unit need 8 gauge?
I am simply running the wires to the boxes. Hvac professionals will be hooking up the line sets, etc. saving $1000 by running wires myself, thanks for the help!
