I'd be willing to bet they are listed as dry location only.

They make cord grip bushings specifically for UF cable, why don't you give those a shot?
 
Funny that it's permitted to use a squeeze type connector on SE cable out of the bottom of a meter enclosure but not out of a box.

314.15 Damp or Wet Locations.
In damp or wet locations, boxes, conduit bodies, and fittings shall be placed or equipped so as to prevent moisture from entering or accumulating within the box, conduit body, or fitting. Boxes, conduit bodies, and fittings installed in wet locations shall be listed for use in wet locations.
 
Two-screw cable connectors in outdoor installations

The two-screw connectors are installed on the bottom of NEMA 3R loadcenters and on the bottom of bell boxes that are installed outdoors.

As inspectors, how would you call it? Would you flag it as a non-conformity? Do you see this application in the field? Just curious. I think this is an interesting topic.
