I have a customer that has two panels in their home. Both panels have 150A Main Breakers and are mounted side by side in the garage. They are being fed from the same meter located directly behind these panels, outside. They are purchasing a large portable Westinghouse Generator. I will include a link. It has two separate 50 amp outputs. I don't see anything in 445 that would prevent me from running a transfer switch for one panel off of one 50A output and a transfer switch for the other panel off of the other 50A output? Most of my career has been in the Southwest and we have installed transfer switches and interlocks but most people just buy your "Costco Special" generator. Those only have one 50A output. This monster has two. Now that I am in North Texas, everyone wants a generator transfer switch. The customer doesn't want to pay for a whole home generator. They want the biggest portable generator they can get. Anyone see an issue? Seems pretty cut and dry to me but I would prefer to ask some of you that may have dealt with this before. Thanks.
