What are the different type of MCBs and where are they used?

How to choose an MCB for a particular application.

Can anyone share some learning materials on this topic?

Please define your acronym:
MCB = Main Circuit Breaker?
MCB = Miniature Circuit Breaker?
MCB = Middle Cubicle Bandit. Someone who, in a public or workplace toilet environment with three cubicles, deliberately chooses to
occupy the middle cubicle when either:
a) none of the side cubicles are occupied
b) one of the side cubicles is occupied and the other is vacant

I assume that you are asking about Miniature Circuit Breakers.

MCBs are classified according to tripping over the range of fault current as follows:

Type B MCB
Type C MCB
Type D MCB
Type K MCB
Type Z MCB

Their characteristics curves and application are explained in this article :

Hope it will help you.

They are one and the same. teslaedison is spamming his web site by signing up as usamayou and asking "can anyone share some learning materials on this topic?" and of course teslaedison replies with just where to go. :D
