Type SO Cord

Do you mean SO cord specifically or flexible cord in general.

There needs to be a W in the type number for rubber cord to be wet location rated and an A in the number for it to be rated for outdoor use, for example: type SOW-A. I am not aware of any current manufacturers of SO only cord.

Jim,
What about submersible? For example, cord used for a submersible pump in a well application. Or for the cord going to a pump in a submersible pond motor?

I see people here using TC cable (tray cable) but i've never checked into the appropriateness of it.

Thanks,
Eric
