Type W cable for floating dock.

Can a feeder be (4) single conductor Type W cables under a floating dock or does it have to be (1) multi-conductor cable. I have spacing concerns and the availability of the 4-conductor Type W cable is an issue.

Interesting question. Art 555 discusses "power cables" and Southwire under Type W power cables
lists single conductoras a cable so my short answer IMO it would be permissible but I'd sure discuss it with you AHJ

Does not seem to me to be prohibited and have seen it done, especially for larger feeders. I think they should be bundled so impedance is not increased and you will have to carefully consider how to terminate to an enclosure. And if the enclosure is ferrous metal that will have to be considered as well.

Submersible Cable

Submersible Cable

I like to use submersible jacketed well cable for running power to and under boat docks. It's fairly robust and totally submersible of course.

Would not be accepted here due to the listing on "well cable" and the wording of 555.13(A)(2) but (A)(3) seems to open the door for your AHJ
