Is it ok to run 12-2 UF in pvc conduit outdoors? Ground wires in conduit have to be insulated, correct? Is that only for conduit outdoors, or metal conduit? I understand that the ground in UF is sheathed but not insulated.
I am wanting to run UF wire under a screened in porch, then come up into the porch through pvc into waterproof outlet boxes. Thank you.

This sounds to me like you are using the PVC only from the weatherproof box down through the decking, and that the 12/2 UFB is run exposed under the deck. Right?

If so, the PVC is used, not as a raceway, but as a sleeve. 300.15(C) instructs that a fitting that protects the UFB from abrasion may be used in lieu of a box.

Yes, that's right, UF under the porch crawl area and UF inside of pvc from decking up to outlet boxes and switch boxes.
