Hello
customer has 120v 3 independent 10 awg wires going from house to garage free air probably wired in the forties. they don't want to go underground. In article 396.2 (1) it looks like I can use rings on the messenger wire to support the sunlight resistant uf cable witch is allowed in article 340.12 (11) question is how to support the UF to the messenger wire and have it last for decades? tie wraps I don't think would last I thought to cut pvc into rings a slide them over messenger wire then put the UF threw them that would be a form of rings. i do know about triplex and quadplex i called the city and got an ok but i'm really leaning toward using UF it is what is ultimately allowed in the NEC and getting a messenger wire up first will help me
Thanks for help

Use sunlight resistant tie wraps, will probably last just as long or longer than your PVC "rings" anyway. They can be made up tighter and will not slip and change position on you as easily either.

I myself would use overhead triplex/quadplex - but if I understand correctly is not a NEC recognized wiring method, so some places will not accept it. Have never had that issue come up on me before though, but something similar to what you suggest would be about the next best thing.
