Do components not specifically covered by UL 508A be added to the follow up services procedure after UL engineering Review?

You can sometimes do so. It is easier to do so if the components are UL recognized. However, they charge a lot of money to do this so you are usually better off just using what is already in the standard. I have not found there is much in the way of components I want to use that are not already allowed. Do you have a specific part you need to use that would not be allowed?
