Working on a panel drawing dealing with UL labels and i had a question.

Can a panel containing only one control device inside an enclosure be labeled with a UL 508A enclosed industrial control panel label?

Short answer: No.

From UL508A (my bold):
1.3 This equipment consists of assemblies of two or more power circuit components, such as motor
controllers, overload relays, fused disconnect switches, and circuit breakers, or control circuit
components, such as pushbuttons, pilot lights, selector switches....

Side note: although this isn't a UL forum, but there are definitely some folks here that are like me and live in that world also. So it's a little hit or miss with how much luck you'll have with UL508A questions.

Thank you!

Do you know of forums that would be better to ask these UL questions in case i run into other questions just in case?

It depends on what you mean by "component". As another poster mentioned you have to have at least two components. We do not think of them as components sometimes, but terminals are components. We know this because Appendix A lists "Standards for Components" and Terminal Blocks are found in the list. So you could have a pilot light and a couple of terminals and it would qualify as an ICP.

In fact, in a very legalistic way, a junction box with some terminals in it is an ICP.
