Section 55.8 of the UL 508A states: An industrial control panel incorporating UPS equipment shall be marked with the word "Danger" or "Warning" and the following or equivalent: "Risk of Electric Shock - UPS equipment outputs remain live with main disconnect in off position."

The UPS I'm implementing has a battery wired to it. This battery wiring will be in series with an auxiliary NO contact of the main disconnect. So, when the main disconnect is in the off position, there will not be power to the UPS.

Do I still need this warning?

I don't believe there is an exemption to the marking requirement if you have a ups.
