All electrical equipment in a prefab building, breaker panel, HVAC, lighting, restroom fan, etc. is labeled. :-?

My Q: Does the entire building assembly need to have a UL label? Should I require this in the spec? It is a permanent structure.

Q: Does UL even have a listing program for prefab structures like this?

I'm unsure about other States but I would imagine many have programs similar to TN. Tn arranges for an inspection of a building like you describe
and affixes a certification.
As inspectors, we are directed to verify the certificate before allowing power to such structures.
I have seen similar certificates on modular buildings constructed in Alabama.
Here is a link for the TN program.

UL does cwerfitfy prefab buildings under the product category Prefabricated Commercial and Industrial Buildings (QRNZ)

They require all the products to be Listed and evaluate the building for compliance with the specified Model Code, building, electrical etc. whatever is specified on the label.

It sounds like a UL listing is available. It might well make inspection go a lot quicker if it was already listed.

OTOH, your prefered vender might not be a UL listed assembler of such things. I would ask some more questions before I insisted on such a listing.

Thanks all for your response!
