Every once in a while I run across a UL Listed Locknut. It has a little UL stamped on it,the difference between it and a non listed is the listed is much thicker.
Does anyone use these on a regular basis, or have been required to use them?

I use them when using the conduit a my bonding equipment.
I just assumed they we're called grounding lock nuts.
You would think they would have to be listed to be used as bonding equipment. (With out a bonding bushing)

as far as "required", I would think that would be up to the AHJ.
I checked a few manufacturer websites including one with the less expensive fittings and all the catalog pages noted their products are UL listed.

There is a difference between various brands of locknuts, the really thin ones often won't stay on the threads.

The locknut is a fitting per Article 100. All of the raceway articles require that the raceway and the associated fittings be a listed product.
