i have some conveyor systems that will need a UL listing on them.

they are on site already. made in canada, most of the controls are
allen bradley, etc. they don't have a UL listing tag on them, and
i need to find a certification service that can bless them for me...

does anyone have a suggestion for a service they would recommend
in the los angeles area?

it needs to be an onsite inspection... the largest of the conveyors is
200' long, and weighs in at about 70 tons or so.

thanks for your help, and merry christmas.....

UL 508A Panel shops cannot list panels built by other people and already installed in the field, the process of being able to apply UL labels to them is based on the work being done at their shop. Technically, it is the SHOP that is certified to do the listing.

After the fact like this, the only legal options are a field inspection by the actual testing authority. UL will do it, also Intertek, the new name of ETL. Either is acceptable here in California. But are the systems CSA listed? Because CSA is acceptable here as well. The list of acceptable NRTLs (Nationally Recognized Testing Authorities) that California accepts is the same as the list maintained by OSHA, which you can read here;
https://www.osha.gov/dts/otpca/nrtl/nrtllist.html

Other than that, the only option you might also have is to uninstall all of the control panels and send them to a UL508A panel shop so they can inspect them, alter them (if needed) and list them, then send them back to be re-installed. All in all, it might be less expensive to get a field evaluation.

Back in 2003, we needed to have a Lighting Inverter Certified for an available fault level of 24KA..., so we arranged with CSA to Certify the Inverter on-site.
Cost $750.00 for CSA to certify.
