ul listing violated ??

Is there a publication that explains how much a ul listed product can be changed and not violate the listing?

I can add breakers to a loadcenter - can I change the lugs, add fingers, tap the buss?

The second question is just an example, please answer the first question.

The refrence book for UL listings is the UL directory "green book". The AHJ is the only person that will be able to determine and give special permission if a change is still in compliance with the listing

If you are installing an accessory provided by the equipment manufacturer or making a modification in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions, the listing will not be violated. Any other changes may violate the listing.
