Does a device that operates with it's own coin cell battery source and provides a discrete output on a circuit, 24 VDC and less than 1/2 ampere need to be UL listed? Used for logic "ON" to tranceivers, annunciators, PLC, etc...
Most all electro-mechanical devices produced for use in the US requires a listing. UL is only one of many Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratories. I suggest you consult an engineer.
Where would the engineer receive their knowledge of whether a device on a low voltage circuit (12VDC or 24VDC), used for logic "ON" need to be UL listed or not?
