UL is telling us we need connectors that are 5VA flame rated. This is a luminaire for wet locations (typically outdoor). Nearly all the connectors available are rated at 94 V0 and the connector manufacturers have told me they have no intention to seek the 5VA rating. Souriau is the only one I've found with 5VA connectors, but they don't fit our molded end pieces and the price is quite a bit higher. Molds are terribly expensive so we would like to avoid changing that if possible. Our molded parts can be made with 5VA material so it's just the connectors holding up our product. I have found some information (not official standards) indicating that the 5VA applies to enclosure materials but connectors can have the V0 rating. Does anybody have recent experience with this issue?
