UL Recognized VS Listed For Motors

I know that the backwards RU marking means that a product is UL recognized, and that this is different than actually being UL listed. I know the UL recognition means that the product is approved to use in an end product that complies with UL standards.

Does anyone know if UL listed motor testing differs from a UL recognized motor testing? Does anyone know what these differences are?

Listed means it can stand independently.
Recognized means it's approved for incorporation into an assembly.

This is basically true; however UL has had a few motors listed for Class I, Division 2. They are nothing more than TEFC or TENV. CSA lists virtually all motors, but they aren't CSA/UL (or any other NRTL variation). They're still fine, of course.
