The assembly to wire electrified or systems furniture to together is supposed to be UL recognized vs. UL listed? What is this? This is the plug or connector to the junction box? This is a case of vendor supplied contractor wired.

Very briefly;

A recognized item is only a "part" of something and must be combined with something else before it can be used. A listed item is a complete product and can be used as it is.

In the case of modular furniture the appropiate flex connectors/jumpers must be used with the fixed connections, neither connector can be used by itself.

UL recognition vs. UL listed

UL recognition vs. UL listed

So a UL recognition system, in this case furniture feeds, will not pose any liabilility problems?

UL speak for explanation on components:

The devices covered under this category are incomplete in certain constructional features or restricted in performance capabilities and are intended for use as components of complete equipment submitted for investigation rather than for direct separate installation in the field. THE FINAL ACCEPTANCE OF THE COMPONENT IS DEPENDENT UPON ITS INSTALLATION AND USE IN COMPLETE EQUIPMENT SUBMITTED TO UNDERWRITERS LABORATORIES INC.

Does that make it better??
