While watching the "understanding the NEC" videos, they are referring to the whitebook and suggest that you download it free at UL.com or .org, depending on which time it is suggested. I have looked and can only find one that you have to pay for. Has UL changed, and started charging, or am I just not looking in the right place? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

I have never downloaded it...I usethis page if I know what I am looking for or this page if I want to find out the UL listings and whitebook information related to a code section. It lets you put in the NEC section and gives you links to the guide information sheets that apply to the code section. I use the second one the most.

The latest edition is on this page. [Right hand side - it even tells you to download it.]

I have several old editions plus all of them since they started offering them in pdf format. I keep them just like old NEC editions. They change format periodically; some of the old editions made the relationship of Category Code AALZ to the other Category Codes much clearer.
